BOULDERING

Bouldering is as much a challenge for the mind as it for the muscles.

“Where a leaf may be blown for a hundred miles, and end up somewhere much the same” describes crossing the Canterbury Plains. (Brian Turner-poet) But the untameable rivers that flow from the Alps to the sea hint at a wilder landscape, this is where FLOCKHILL is centered, offering you a private bouldering experience.

Bouldering is a sport that can be a challenge to all– movements based on faith dexterity and cutting-edge skill, depending on your strength and character. Clinging to limestone you may look like an awkward spreadeagled insect, but the benefit is, that as you attempt precarious overhangs and mercilessly smooth faces, you remain only metres above the tussock ground to be guided by your spotters’ hands to the mat below.
