The Sugarloaf Experience offers an afternoon immersed in flavour, creativity, and connection. This hands-on activity celebrates more than just what happens in the kitchen - it’s about understanding where each ingredient begins. Your afternoon starts with a guided walk through the Flockhill Garden, gathering herbs, greens, and

seasonal produce alongside our gardener, Seth. As you harvest, learn about the growing rhythms of the high country, companion planting, and how the garden shapes the menus at Sugarloaf. 

From there, step into the kitchen for an intimate, hands-on pizza-making class. Guided by our chefs, you’ll craft your own lunch using the produce you’ve just harvested for a fresh garden salad.

After lunch, make your way to the Sugarloaf bar where you’ll step behind the scenes to create your own cocktail (or mocktail) using house-made infusions, garden garnishes, and seasonal syrups. Learn how flavour is built through balance and technique.

Guests are invited to craft, shake, and taste, exploring Flockhill’s approach to cocktail-making: simple ingredients elevated by intention and a sense of place. It’s a relaxed, social way to round out the afternoon.
