Sugarloaf at Flockhill is hosting a three-day culinary residency - one weekend only. This Easter, one dinner, two lunches, and the chance to experience one of Australia’s top restaurants in a setting tucked away in the high country.

Over three days, Friday the 3rd dinner will be a 12-course collaboration between Chef Taylor Cullen and Chef Scott Huggins from Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant. For lunch Saturday the 4th and Sunday the 5th, you'll be treated to a full Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant takeover of the Sugarloaf kitchen.
Reservations are available for:
Lunch – NZ$225 per person
Dinner – NZ$295 per person
Add a prestige Penfolds wine match for NZ$295 per person, including Grange 2021 and Bin 98 Quantum 2019. Other Penfold wines are available by the glass at a special price.
For those wishing to stay, we have created exclusive Easter rates, each one based on twin share and inclusive of all meals.
Single-night reservations are available Friday night only to experience the collab dinner with a cozy Villa to tuck into afterwards.
Stay two nights, arriving Friday the 3rd and treat yourself to both the collab dinner and a Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant lunch. Two-night stays arriving on Saturday will include a reservation for Sunday's Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant lunch.
Spend your full Easter weekend with us, Friday-Monday, and get a free upgrade to a Deluxe Suite, subject to availability, round-trip transfers from Christchurch (CBD or airport), the collab dinner on Friday night and the Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant lunch on either Saturday or Sunday, with our standard Flockhill offering for all other meals.
Rooms start at $4,200 for two guests, with a special event offer of a free upgrade to a Villa for bookings of two Junior Suites. All guests staying overnight are welcome to experience the property on self-guided trails or by booking Flockhill activities.
